You’re also welcome to e-mail me directly, rather than using the form above, at aly@seoaly.com.
There are always these well-known instant messenger services:
-
GTalk – alfergison
Yahoo! IM – SEOAly@ymail.com
MSN Live Messenger – SEOAly@hotmail.com
If you care to do a little vetting, I can often be found discussing a variety of topics on Twitter. I’m @Alysson. Don’t care to spend the time to vet me? Ask John McCain about the consequences of underestimating the importance of vetting.
The rapport you have with your designer or SEO is no less important than knowledge. Vet me. Please. Save us both some frustration and wasted time!
GTalk is the only IM service I use regularly. It’s best to contact me via e-mail or hop on Twitter and send a message to @Alysson.
Uh, Something Seems To Be Missing…
I bet you’re wondering where my phone number is, right? The simple answer is that I do not offer phone support. “But EVERYONE ELSE publishes a phone number, Aly??” Yeah, well – I’m not everyone else. While everyone else has you responding to a myriad of voice prompts, pressing a series of numbers long enough to launch a nuclear missile, only to end up having to leave a voice mail anyway, I’m working to help make your site more search engine friendly. Or maybe I’m working on one of your competitors’ sites…you never know.
There are several reasons I don’t offer phone support, the most important of which is that it is in the best interest of my clients that all communication be done in writing. I’ve spent thousands of hours providing phone consultation and phone support. I’m all too familiar with the opportunity to misunderstand or inadvertently forget the information exchanged throughout the course of a telephone call…especially a long consultation call.
That’s why I have elected to communicate with my clients via e-mail or instant messenger service exclusively. That way there is always written documentation of all communication. It reduces the chance that something can be misunderstood, mistakenly overlooked or unintentionally forgotten…by either of us.
After all, how many times have you hung up from a long telephone conversation and thought to yourself, “Wait, what did she say again? I should have written that down…” Well, now you don’t have to worry about that. You’re welcome.
